We wrote this song to highlight the Stonewall "uprising" in New York in 1969 and the ongoing strides and struggles that have occurred since then. As a band, we feel that this struggle for personal freedom should continue to be discussed and considered generations after the initial events. Especially pertinent during Pride month, we feel it is important for current generations to hear songs like these that teach us how we got to now.
